The ministry of reconciliation: an introduction

Taster day for our new course on Christian perspectives on reconciliation.

This workshop will introduce the themes explored in the Ministry of Reconciliation course coming later in 2010. It will also give a flavour of what the course will involve and be an opportunity to find out more about participating in the course.

With Johnston McMaster (The Irish School of Ecumenics) and Helen Gilbert (St Ethelburga’s Centre).

Johnston McMaster is a lecturer at the Irish School of Ecumenics, where he develops the Education for Reconciliation programme, including its core content and teaching methods. A minister in the Methodist Church in Ireland, he is well-known as a broadcaster and throughout the churches and inter-faith sectors. His areas of specialism include Celtic spirituality and contemporary social ethics, communities of reconciliation, religion and violence, the shape of faith in a post-Christendom era, peacebuilding in Northern Ireland, socio-political biblical hermeneutics.

The Irish School of Ecumenics is a multi-disciplinary, cross-border institute in Trinity College Dublin with campuses in Dublin and Belfast.
